Emily d’orsaneo
We are so excited to welcome Emily D’Orsaneo to our HoCo Girls coaching family as our new Assistant Coach of HoCo 2027 Black. Emily grew up on the Eastern Shore of MD and started playing lacrosse when she was 7 years old. Emily played 4 years of varsity at Queen Anne’s County High School where she served as captain her senior year. She received 3x 1st team all conference honors during her time in high school. Emily then continued her lacrosse career at Coastal Carolina and played there for 5 years. During that time as a defender, she made the ASUN all-freshmen team in 2017, ASUN second team all-conference in 2018, ASUN 1st team all conference 2019, ASUN Preseason All-Conference in 2020, SoCon 1st team all-conference 2021, and SoCon All-Tournament team in 2021. She holds 4 all time records including most ground balls, caused turnovers, games played, and games started.
Emily continued her love for the sport as a coach and was an assistant coach at The College of the Holy Cross for the 2021-2022 season. She decided to go back to school and attended Salisbury University for their nursing program while continuing her coaching career as a Head Coach with M&D Shore 2029 black for 2022-2023. She recently graduated in December of 2023 and is currently working as a nurse in Johns Hopkins Pediatric Emergency Room.
